Politics is the opposite of technology. Our technology keeps on improving as years pass by but politics is getting uglier through the years. But I don’t think the problem only lies in the system because for me, it is in the quality and character of the people who are sitting in the government.

Good point. Both sides of this debate have allied themselves in certain ways with the separatist group, so that argument is indeed moot. I do hope things get ironed out soon. Strange to see the Canadian government getting all messy.

The thing of election will not change anything is quite right here. The politicians who stay for long term don’t abide their given commitments.

This is what happens when yu leave the same politicians in charge for too long. End of the day, they all look alike, and do the same ugly stuff. What you need is new people to shake up things, and give people a positive choice, rather than having to choose the lesser of two evils.
