Wordpress Sitemap Plugin

I’m using a sitemap plugin by dagondesign and after having it for a few days I really like it. There are a lot of features that will let you configure the ordering and also how many pages are shown per page. That’s handy for me because I like having all my links on a single page so long as the website is small, but as it grows, it will be nice to have some flexibility over how people interact with the sitemap. But if you’re not big into the nitpicky details, this plugin is still very easy to install and you just set it and forget it.

The only downside I’ve found is that the plugin writes out all of the links for your sitemap on one line. I think the author did this to keep source indentation accurate, but it really makes things difficult if you need to muck around with things in there. If you don’t plan on looking at the source code for your sitemap, this isn’t an issue.

I also tried out his popularity contest plugin by Alex King. It delivers exactly what it promises, but at the end of the day it just wasn’t for me, so I’ve de-activated it. If the description sounds like something you would like, give it a try.
