Reviewme.com is a new way for bloggers to monetize their blogs. What is does is allows for you to write up site reviews on your blog in exchange for money. The program’s brand new and was just launched today so they’re trying to drum up some interest using their own tool. From a blogger’s perspective it’s really simple to sign up for, using paypal makes it nice and safe to get your payments without worrying about disclosing too much information. They do also have a send a cheque option as well if you’re not into paypal. You’re also not committed to writing anything. If you don’t like/believe in/support a website, you don’t have to accept the request to write a review. That’s nice for me because I can still maintain some integrity in my writing while earning money to pay for hosting, potato chips and guitar parts.

The requirements aren’t terribly taxing either, there’s a 200 word minimum which shouldn’t be a problem for any blogger worth their hosting bill. They also require you to disclose that it’s a paid review so you don’t have any moral worries about whether you’re lying to your readers or not. If you’ve ever struggled to find new topics to cover on your blog, this will not only hand-deliver ideas to you, it’ll help you earn a bit of money as well.

From an advertiser’s perspective it’s a great chance to get some buzz in areas that are challenging to get to. You can always make press releases, but that can be hit or miss in terms of making it to the blogs and generating real buzz. Having bloggers review your site right away cuts out the middle-man and puts you in the heart of the blogosphere for immediate discussion. If your site is buzz-worthy, the buzz will start and spread very quickly.

You can search through the inventory of blogs and select which ones are most appropriate to request reviews from. That way if your site is about cars, you can submit review requests only to car related blogs. You get to target the blogs you want and will only have to pay bloggers who have chosen to accept your offer. It’s a great way to get unique content written for you by people who already have an audience base. Give it a try, and I’m sure you’ll appreciate the advantages of this new program if you’ve ever tried to drum up buzz about a website all on your own.
