The remnants of hurricane Noel are on their way. From what I’ve been hearing on the news it’s a little weird. This doesn’t seem to be a system that weakening, but rather losing its formation. The eye vanished a while ago but the wind speed is still very very high. Oh yeah, and there’s a cold front on the west of the storm that’s causing a pile of thunder and lightning.
The wind has been blustery all day long and the rain started about 2:00 pm. The rain has been steady since then and the wind is getting a little heavier. The brunt of it is supposed to be hitting us sometime late tonight. Given that we’re looking at wind, rain, thunder and lightning, it ought to make for an interesting evening.
I’ll post again tomorrow to recount the evening to see if it was full of sound and fury or if there was some real weather.
