One of the hardest things to deal with as a blogger is a loss of momentum. From time to time, things are going to occur in your life that will interrupt your blogging. This is especially true if you’re a part-time blogger. So what can you do to regain momentum?
One of the things that I did in this instance is something that might not make a lot of sense at first glance. Rather than trying to regain the momentum I lost, I forgot about it and started some new momentum from scratch. Huh?
In most situations I’ve experienced, coming back from a break in momentum tends to come slowly because you simply don’t have the time. You get out of your break by squeezing in a few moments here and there to blog, but you have a hard time making consistent time to blog for a while. Given that you’re trying to eek out any time you can find, the thoughts of jumping right back into things full steam ahead are unfair. That’s why I suggest leaving the old momentum behind. By putting all of the previous work behind you, you can set far more sensible expectations because you’re not going to be comparing them to anything. It’s a clean slate to work from.
So if you get stalled with your blog, ditch the old momentum and starting making new momentum ![]()

My inspiration tends to come in waves. Right now, I’m going through a little blog burn out. Life seems to have overwhelmed my creativity. I guess I better start making some new momentum.

Tell me about it
I’ve hit some pretty significant speed bumps the last few weeks myself.
