Matt Mays is another artist from the area who’s proven himself to be an absolutely amazing talent. He and El Torpedo have put together songs that have just made me want to sit there and listen to them for hours. Here’s one of the 2005 album, Matt Mays & El Torpedo. It’s Cocain Cowgirl.

Here’s another one off the same album This one’s called On The Hood and is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard in my life.

This is a lot more folksy than Classified, who I pointed out a couple of days ago. This is more of the kind of music that traditionally comes from Halifax, but it does show the kind of diversity that’s around here. Diversity’s a wonderful thing.
