Brian sent me a link to a wonderful Youtube video. It’s about a person in China who builds robots from scrap materials. You have to watch this!
This guy is awesome! This is the maddest mad scientist I’ve yet to see. He even burnt down his own house with one of this projects!!! It doesn’t get much more mad scientist than that 
The robotic rickshaw is not only a really cool invention, it’s a beautiful piece of work looking like a 50’s throwback. I absolutely love it. I’ve looked at a lot of the old school robot toys made of tin and I really would like to do something fun in that style later on, but this guy built a full scale metal work of art.

That was a pretty interesting video. It makes you wonder how the same guy might have turned out if he had the opportunity to go through a top tier University program in robotics.

We’ll never know, but I can’t help but feel that needing to scrounge for parts rather than just buying anything he needed pushed his creativity much further.
