A friend of mine who does metal fabrication just got in touch with me regarding a project that I’d spoken to him about some time ago. The idea was to attempt to build a Trussart-inspired guitar. My friend’s really good at what he does and is always up for a challenge so I figured he’d be intrigued by the idea of building a guitar body out of metal and I’d get to do something really unique. He didn’t get back to me for some time so I had moved on to the robot in the meantime. Now the robot’s in full swing and this is popping up again. On the bright side, I’d be thrilled if I could pull both off. On the downside, cost will become an issue if I attempt to do both.
I still have some time before I really need to make any decisions on that so I’ll wait it out for now. Perhaps I’ll be able to expand my reservoir of play funds enough to be able to meet the needs of both projects. I’ll keep you all up to date as things develop.
