As June 17th approaches many of are asking ourselves what to get for Father’s Day. Many fathers are difficult to buy gifts for since they’re generally quiet about their likes and dislikes. If they have a hobby they probably already have everything they need other than really really expensive things. If TV has taught me anything it’s that ties are a bad idea. It’s difficult sometimes. The trick is to get creative in your hunt.
Gift Baskets Plus has come up with a small line of gifts for Fathers Day that will help you find something new and entertaining for your dad. My favourites from their offerings are the Crossword basket and the Phillies basket (if you’re a Phillies fan). These are just the kinds of things that will suit some of the fathers out there. My dad’s not into either one of these things, but I do know some of my friend’s fathers who would love these.
You might have noticed that they’re a little expensive. Well yes, that’s true. They are a little expensive, but they are my favourites there. They’ve also got a Premium Goodie basket for under $40 which is a lot more reasonable for most people. While there’s lots of neat stuff in there, I just don’t feel it’s as great a fit for a father’s day present as the previous two I mentioned.
Regardless of which one you think will work best for you, remember that gift baskets tend to be a pretty good gift overall. Since they incorporate a bunch of items rather than a single one, you’ve got a much better chance at hitting the mark. If the recipient doesn’t like one of the things in the basket it’s no big deal because there are other things in there too
