On the heels of Posticon being postponed, I pointed out some of the issues with trying to pull off a big conference right away, I suggested that PayPerPost might want to go with something a bit smaller, akin to the old pubcons that WebmasterWorld used to hold.
Well it looks as though someone either read my blog or had the same idea at the same time. For those people involved in PayPerPost who want to spend some time talking to the PayPerPost execs, there’s an invitation to all members to a retreat.
What’s great about this is that the people who can afford it will get a chance to go talk to the people who directly influence their income. They can bring issues, discuss them, talk about things you’d like to see in the future, have your voice heard.
The downside is it’s in Key West during hurricane season.

I totally agree with you about the importance of input. I saw an interview with the CEO of EBay and how she brings in her valued members several times through the year because they are the ones that keep the company going. PayPerPost is smart with this.

In my experience, they’re not that great at this yet, but I do see a lot of signs that they’re trying to listen. If their efforts pay off, they’ll do well.
