Coupon Chief is a web site designed to help you find coupons for use online. This is yet another market space that’s quite saturated, but just because it’s saturated, doesn’t mean you can’t still have a big impact in the space. I’ve seen a few of these types of websites now and I think that Coupon Chief is a step ahead in terms of design and usability.

I really like the company logo usage down the main portion of the webpage. Companies spend millions and sometimes billions on brand recognition. This is a great opportunity to capitalize on someone else’s work. Anyone who’s been exposed to mass media should be able to spot their favourite brands from a mile away.

They also let you browse for coupons either by store or by item category like automotive and tools. Once again, this is a nice feature because while we all know our brands, sometimes we just want to buy a widget and are open to options as to where you buy it from. If you’re looking for the best price on that widget, you can find out about any smaller players that are offering discounts.

Having good interface and making things easier to find are a step in the right direction if you want to succeed in a crowded marketplace. It’s no guarantee of success, but it certainly won’t hurt.
