More Ink

Inkers.biz is yet another company trying to edge itself into the crowded printer ink market. From a consumer’s perspective, there are three things that are going to differentiate one store from the next. That’s going to be usability, price and shipping.

If I can’t find what I want I obviously won’t be buying. That’s where the usability comes in. I use an Epson CX3200 and found it fairly easy to find an ink cartridge for the CX3200. I clicked on the link for Epson ink cartridges and then scrolled through the alphabetically ordered list until I found it. The list for the Epson is extensive, making a little clunky, but for me it’s the better balance.

As far as price goes, it certainly seems at the very least competitive. A quick browse suggests that it’s pretty low. While you’ll want to do your own research on those numbers because I only took a cursory look at it. The shipping charges are important too because anyone who’s ever shopped on E-bay knows that shipping charges are the major source of hidden costs when buying online. They offer free 3 day shipping within the US. So there aren’t any obvious hidden costs there. You can also get it shipped faster by paying the UPS fees if you prefer.

They also back it up with their guarantee. While I haven’t called them before, it’s the kind of guarantee I like since it’s plastered with their phone number and written in understandable language. The reason most guarantees are written in legalese is to allow for lots of loopholes. When you write in plain language you really need to be ready to support your guarantee, so that suggests that they’re on their customer service game.
