I got my pens as promised from John Chow. Last month I was on John Chow’s top commentators list and as a result, was awarded a 1234pen.com pen and a John Chow pen. A few days ago I saw that he had all the pens set to go out (notice mine up front and centre). They arrived last night and I thought that was pretty cool.
The 1234pens.com pen is a big chunky plastic thing. Not uncommon to find these at conferences and whatnot. Cheap and easy to give away, good promotional idea from Tejpal. The John Chow pens are quite nice. It feels all metal and it has a nice weight to it. It also looks pretty snazzy.
So what am I going to do with these pens? Give them away of course. Contests are the flavour of the month in the John Chow community and I’m going to toss my hat in that ring as well. There was so much interest in the pens that I should to be able to spur some interest. I haven’t finalized the contest details yet, but I should have it posted shortly. I want to make it fun, so I want to be sure I put some good thought into it.

Thanks, the backlink was well worth it, but the pens were some nice icing on the cake
