Lots of you out there are busy writing. You’re writing in the hope that you can share some of your knowledge with others. It’s a very rewarding experience. Initially, it was the singular purpose behind About A Webmaster. As I looked around the web trying to differentiate my writing to help find my own angle, I learned something.
There are heaps and heaps of web pages out there that will explain how to do something, but not that many that will offer clear, understandable reasons as to why you should do in the first place. from that was born the basic philosophy behind my writings at About A Webmaster.
As I’ve continued through the web though I’ve realised that, at least from my perspective, that’s what separates the good blog posts from the weaker ones. Explaining what to do is a very valuable service, but when you go through the reasoning with your audience they will get a lot more out of it. So just remember, tell them why, not just how.
