Go From Great Design To Great Code

One of the major problems with hiring someone to develop your website is that it’s pretty easy to find someone who’s great at design and pretty easy to find someone who’s great at coding pages and CSS. Unfortunately it’s hard to find both. I’m not as good at design aspects, but I can take a drawn design and turn it into a webpage that works well. So can Slice My Design.

For a flat fee, they’ll take a drawn website design and turn it into a “XHTML and CSS web standards document resulting in a tableless design structure”. For my tastes, that’s what you want to shoot for. This kind of website’s going to be a great base for SEO purposes. This kind of design also has a much better chance of breaking down elegantly on more limited browsers like those you’d find on mobile devices. They’re going to do that for $125. If you consider the time that you need to spend to do something like this on your own, it’s well worth the money.

My favourite part of the website though is their questions section. It’s so simple and straightforward. The entire website is very simple with a single purpose; give you a place to send your designs to get coded up.

So if you’re artistically inclined but haven’t finished polishing your page coding skills, check Slice My Design. Their pricing model’s easy and offer a full refund if you’re not satisfied with their work.
