Prophetline runs a blog all about POS Software by Prophetline. POS always makes me chuckle a little because I always read it as a different acronym than Point of Sale. It’s a really handy blog covering some interesting topics for retail merchants.
On of the interesting posts is about emergency procedures. It covers a blow by blow list of all of the things you would need to consider in case of a power outage or computer crash. I’ve previously written on this kind of disaster recovery for websites, and can’t stress the importance of it no matter what kind of business you’re in.
I really like the idea of someone selling a product like their POS software supplementing it with a blog. The additional information can be a real help. While this is becoming far more common in the technology world, I think all industries will end up benefiting from this.
