John Chow Is My Hero

January 19th, 2007 · 1 Comment · Web Development

John Chow is a web entrepreneur and he started his own blog about a year ago (coincidentally the same time this blog started). Since then, he’s been making efforts towards monetizing his blog and taking advantage of every opportunity that Web 2.0 has to offer. Along those lines John has signed up for Agloco. I wrote about Agloco a few days ago.

John’s not just signing up though, oh no. He’s kicking it up a notch. Bam! Not only has he been rapidly growing his referrals, he’s actually going to spend $2000 on promotion to get people to sign up, referred by him. That’s a pretty bold step, but he’s got confidence in the program. If I had that many people in my network already, I’d be a little bit bolder about it too. As one of the comments on his post indicates, he’s going to be one of the 10 people to actually make money at this. I tend to share this sentiment so I’m staying out of it too. But I admire the entrepreneurial spirit. His revenues are growing rapidly and he stands as a model of what I’d like to accomplish. Thanks for the inspiration John.

Yeah I agree John Chow is really doing some good work I’ve also read the post about the $2K advertising, plus the agloco staff members have put a lot of faith into the viewbar because if the viewbar doesn’t make any money then they won’t get a cut haha wouldn’t that be funny to see.
