If you’re looking for business advice, check out IncParadise. They’ve got a small business blog that aims to help inform the small business community. They’ve got a great post on home based business trends for 2007. Some of the more interesting ventures in there are home based debt collector and background checks. Those are two things that I deffinitely would never have thought that I could do out of the comfort of my own home.
When you’re a small business owner, it can be a lonely road. Having a blog to read that’s on-topic can help you feel like you’re a part of the community. Reaidng stories that relate to the challenges you face on a day to day basis can do even more than that, it can show you that you’re not alone.

Just a little fyi. I’ve got a new site that will help the small business owner compete in the international market. It’s called Popwebcity.com and it is an online virual mall. Basically, the store owner and have a duplicate of their store front within the mall and shoppers can go in and out of the store, while picking up items that line the shelves and place them in their shopping cart.
It’s kinda of like a video game with chat for friends who want to shop together.
Thought you might like to check it out, as at $35 per month, this would definately be able to help the small business owner.

I thought of a virtual mall many years ago. It seems like a neat idea at first, but I just can’t see it really working out. I wish you the best of luck with it all, but it’s really just a matter of user effort.
It’s so much easier for a user to navigate the web with their mouse clicking links than it is to go through your virtual environment. Granted, you’ve got a simple interface that somewhat easy to understand, but it’s still a lot harder to use than a search engine or directory of links.
