So I spent a little time over at John Chow dot com. I’ve got to hand it to him, he has a very nice blog going there. I especially love the picture of the corvette at the top. I love that car… The photo also really somehow connects with me when it comes to the visceral sense of driving fast around a track and turning over some revenue, the topic of many of his posts.
One point that I disagree with is his post on reviewme.com. It’s likely that my blog just isn’t interesting to advertisers or that reviewme is lacking advertisers. His post on Text Link Ads certainly doesn’t fill me with hope either. I also gave this program a try and much like John Chow, I found it to be a dry well. Hopefully I’ll luck out like he did and someone will sign up eventually.
The Top Posts section is a little big for my tastes. It’s nice that he’s separated them by category, but there are just too many posts listed. Maybe a top 5 for each category would work well. One of the neatest things that I noticed was his post on Pay per Post. I’ve seen this program from a publisher’s perspective, but never from an advertiser’s perspective.
To sum it up, I’m adding him to my sites-to-read list since he’s covering a lot of the topics I’m really interested in as of late.

Thanks, I’m curious to see what his opinion on all of it will be. I’ve noted mine in a follow up post on The John Chow Experiment.

It’s in the very first line of the post. I declare all my sponsored posts as “Sponsored” directly in the post. That way it’s clear and apparent with regards to what you’re actually reading and not some vague declaration off on the side that my readers may or may not read.
